The Puppets of Southpaw Video
Patrick Tighe
(known to his fans as PunkTiger)The Star of Southpaw Video Productions. Punk's history is long and varied in his hometown of Southpaw, but he is best known for being the leader of his punk-pop band, "Clovertone", where he switches between playing lead electric balalaika and guitar. Despite his moniker, his tastes in music are quite varied -- which is apparent by the music he chooses for video fodder.
Toshiro Kitsune
Toshiro is best known as the drummer of Clovertone and one of Punk's oldest friends. Despite his name, he is not oriental and actually speaks in a crisp British accent (as do many of the inhabitants of Southpaw).
As a side note, he is no relation to the vixen, Maki-chan (who is not pictured because she couldn't make it to the photo shoot). Toshiro concedes, however, that most other non-vulpine species find it difficult to tell foxes apart from one another.
Warren & Walter Woolf
Walter Woolf (bottom) plays keyboards and guitar for Clovertone, while twin brother Warren (top) will submit the occasional lyric to Punk & Co. They may be twins, but their mindsets are Yin and Yang. Walter is more the wild wolf while Warren is a more mellow and thoughtful soul. But both are far away from the "big bad wolf" image they seem to be stuck with.
Barley
This wide-eyed, scruffy ragamuffin was a studio helper that expressed an interest in video making (not to mention being a fan of Clovertone). Punk was charmed by the young canine's charisma and will give him a chance to star in his own video... when Barley works up the nerve, that is. He's a bit camera shy.
Mini-Lenny & Mini-Punk
No plans are in the works for these two, but that's subject to change. Leonard Tate (the lion) is the bass player for Clovertone. (NOTE: I don't have a full-sized lion puppet to portray Lenny yet.)
A coyote who showed up on my doorstep.
He'll be around. Oh, yes... He'll be around...
Images ©2002 Mark "PunkTiger" Correia -- C'mon! They're pictures of puppets, for goodness' sakes! It took me all of 10 minutes to photograph them with a digital camera I picked up for $20 at a flea market. If you have to go out of your way to steal them, then you have some serious issues. So play nice.
